LOUD ENGINES. BAD IDEAS. GREAT STORIES.
BAD MECHANIC is an automotive story brand built around the people, machines, mistakes, memories, fixes and bad ideas that make garage life worth talking about.
Your car doesn't have to be special. Your story does.
Free to submit. Your Member Number is earned, not bought.
THIS ISN'T A CAR SHOW. IT'S THE STORY BEHIND THE GARAGE DOOR.
You don't need a six-figure build, perfect paint, a professional shop, or a big social-media following to belong here.
BAD MECHANIC is for the people who kept the family car alive. The first-time builder who bought the wrong project. The owner who refused to sell. The person who thought it was a weekend job. The one who dragged something home because everybody else said not to.
Ferrari or Ford Pinto. Harley or Ural. Show car or daily driver. Finished build or permanent project.
We don't select cars. We select stories.
WHAT CAN YOU SEND?
BUILDS & MODS
Engine swaps. Suspension work. Turbo builds. Exhaust. Custom fabrication. Restorations. Motorcycle conversions. If you changed it and there is a story behind why, show us.
FIXES & BAD IDEAS
Broke something while fixing something else? Bought a lemon? Turned a twenty-minute job into three weekends? Spent five times what you planned? Good. That is probably a story.
RIDES WITH A STORY
The family car. Your first car. The motorcycle you have owned for twenty years. The machine you sold and still regret. The one everybody keeps asking you to sell and you keep refusing. The car does not have to be rare. The reason it matters does.
GARAGE LIFE
First starts. Old photos. Parts receipts. Tools. Friends who helped. The dog supervising every repair while contributing absolutely nothing. If it is part of the story, it can be part of BAD MECHANIC.

HOW THE AWARDS WORKTELL SOMEONE'S GARAGE STORY
Some garage stories are best told by the people who watched them happen.
Know a dad, mom, partner, friend, son, daughter, neighbor, builder or garage regular whose story deserves a place on the wall? Tell us what they built, fixed, kept alive, refused to sell, or never stopped caring about.
If the person is living, they must give permission before the story is submitted for publication consideration. If the person has passed away, you can submit a Memorial / Legacy Story with the required rights declaration for the materials you provide.
They don't need a channel. They need someone to notice.
TELL SOMEONE'S STORYYOUR RIDE DOESN'T HAVE TO BE PERFECT. THE STORY JUST HAS TO BE WORTH TELLING.
Show us what you built. What you broke. What you fixed. The V8 you somehow squeezed where a four-cylinder used to live. The suspension upgrade that became a complete rebuild. The motorcycle you have owned for twenty years. The family car nobody can convince you to sell. The project that cost twice what you planned. The machine you bought back because you never really forgot it.
The car isn't rare. The story is.
